Installation
You must install at least Qt, Base System and KDE Support for any of the packages to work.
Amarok requires the Mysql 5.1 package, which contains the library and necessary data files.
Download the package(s) you want using the links provided. Double-click each package in the finder, and follow the instructions for installation. You will need to log out and back in for D-Bus to be enabled properly. All applications will crash if dbus is not running.
Upgrading
If you are upgrading from older packages, make sure that when everything is finished installing, you run /opt/local/bin/kbuildsycoca4 to update your sycoca cache.
Running
The applications should be run from the Finder, you can find them in /Applications/KDE4.
Sometimes, Installer.app fails to run the post-install. If things are acting funny, try running these two commands in a terminal:
launchctl load /Library/LaunchAgents/org.freedesktop.dbus-session.plist
/opt/local/bin/kbuildsycoca4
...and see if your application starts.
Known Bugs
Any bugs in applications should be reported to bugs.kde.org.
You should check against the list of known bugs
before adding a new bug report. If you find your bug in this list, add a new comment, confirming the
problem and the version of KDE being used.
Inability to launch applications are assumed to be bugs in the mac packages and should be reported to the mailing list instead.
